A few days ago, I started sharing little hints that something new was coming.

Along with the hints; I  also asked a simple question.

What does strength mean to you?

The answers have been different for everyone.

With each one varying in complexity.

For some, it's setting a new personal record.

For others, it's surviving something they never thought they'd make it through.

For others, it's about what you can mentally handle under pressure when you have no one to rely on but yourself.

The more I thought about those answers, the more I realized that's exactly why this project has been living in my head for so long.

Most people see strength as muscles.

Or medals.

Or numbers on a barbell.

I don't.

I see the early mornings and late nights when no one is watching.

The injuries no one posts about.

The tears  and fragility of self confidence after a missed lift.

The sacrifices families make so someone else can chase a dream.

The coaches who pour into athletes year after year because they believe in someone else's potential.

The parents who work extra jobs, organize fundraisers, drive hundreds of miles, and quietly carry the weight behind the scenes so their kids can stand on a platform and chase something bigger than themselves.

I've seen all of it.

Not from the sidelines.

From inside it.

Over the last year especially, our family's life has revolved around powerlifting. Countless hours on the road. Late-night drives home from the gym. Competition weekends. Training sessions. Fundraisers. Victories. Setbacks. Watching my daughter earn the chance to wear Team USA across her chest has reminded me that strength has very little to do with what happens in a single lift.

It has everything to do with everything that came before it.

As a photographer, I've realized something about myself.

I'm drawn to stories far more than I am poses.

Sure, I love creating dramatic lighting and epic portraits. I love making someone look confident and powerful.

But what really keeps me coming back is the conversation before I ever pick up my camera.

I want to know what you've overcome.

What keeps you going when you want to quit.

Who you're doing this for.

What your victories have cost you.

Because that's the part I want people to see when they look at your portrait.

Not just what you look like.

Who you are.

That's why I'm creating Faces of Strength.

This isn't about creating another collection of gym photos.

It isn't about photographing the physically strongest people in the room.

And it isn't about chasing the perfect lift.

It's about creating powerful branding imagery that tells the story behind the athlete, the coach, and the professional.

Because the fitness industry is full of incredible people doing incredible things, but too often their story gets reduced to a highlight reel—a personal record, a transformation photo, or another workout video.

Those moments matter.

But they aren't the whole story.

The coaches changing lives.

The gym owners building communities.

The trainers helping people rediscover confidence.

The athletes whose journey inspires someone to keep going.

Those are the stories people remember.

Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be photographing athletes, coaches, gym owners, personal trainers, and other fitness professionals whose passion goes far beyond what happens inside the gym.

Not just to create beautiful portraits.

To create images with purpose.

Images that stop someone mid-scroll.

Images that make a potential client feel like they already know the person behind the brand.

Images that don't just show what you do...

They show why someone should trust you.
